Health effects of recession on Maori need consideration – David Jansen

Jody Yeats

From Te ORA's point of view it would be keen to work with the Government on the effects the recession will likely have on the most vulnerable members of society, chair David Jansen says.

There has been research published by professor of public health at the Wellington School of Medicine and Health Sciences Peter Crampton and others on the effect of recessions on Maori health and Te ORA would like to work with Government to help them focus on where best to spend money in this area.
