Tamiflu for Influenza

Pharmaceutical SocietyThursday 30 April 2009, 12:06PM

Media release from Pharmaceutical Society

There are clear restrictions under which Tamiflu can be sold

  • Only for patients presenting face to face to their pharmacist with symptoms of influenza
  • Not for those concerned that they may develop it
  • For the safety of the patient the pharmacist must abide by these conditions

This is also important to minimise resistance occurring to Tamiflu
Available from 1st May to 30th September from your pharmacist.
Check with your local Pharmacy - it would be helpful to phone first to find out how individual pharmacies are dealing with this situation.
