Media release from ProCare
ProCare Chairman Peter Didsbury has today announced that CEO Ron
Hooton is resigning from ProCare to take up a new opportunity as
CEO for Vision Australia, based in Melbourne.
Chief Financial Officer Sarah Mills will be appointed Acting CEO
when Ron leaves in mid-January. ProCare's Senior Management Team
will work alongside Sarah to share some of the CEO role
responsibilities which will ensure no disruption to the business
during this period. The Board will commence a recruitment
process immediately.
Board Chairman Peter Didsbury says the Board is grateful for the
contribution Ron has made to growing ProCare and developing a
strong company culture over the past seven years. "We are confident
that Ron is leaving us with a strong legacy of highly skilled staff
and management and an incredibly stable financial position," Peter
says. "Ron has secured a bright future for ProCare through
the introduction of our new staff structure geared around
supporting general practices through localities, clinical and
population health strategies.
"The ground work has been laid for the current three year
strategic period and now the Board has confidence in the Senior
Management Team to carry on and lead the organisation while the
recruitment process takes place.
"Ron will be greatly missed by the ProCare family and those within
the health sector in New Zealand, and we are very supportive of his
exciting career move. We wish Ron all the best in his new role and
move to Australia."
