Covid-19 update: 7881 new cases, 20 deaths in week to 19 November

There have been 7881 new cases of Covid-19 reported in New Zealand over the week to Sunday, and 20 further deaths attributed to the virus.
Of the new cases, 1474 were probable cases and 4073 were reinfections.
There were 349 cases in hospital and two in intensive care.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases was 1124 per day.
Wastewater testing across the country has seen an uptick in detections of the virus in recent weeks.
Leading epidemiologist Professor Michael Baker said that - and increased hospitalisations in early November - indicated the country was experiencing a fifth wave of Covid-19.
Last week, Te Whatu Ora reported 5947 new cases and five further deaths.
