Medical Officer to lead our Fracture Clinic | Dunedin

Dunedin Urgent Doctors and Accident Centre (DUDAC) seeks a medical officer to lead our fracture clinic and injury management service commencing late 2020.

You could be an Urgent Care Fellow/Registrar, MOSS, FACEM or GP with special skills and/or an interest in urgent care and injury management who can lead treatment of undisplaced fractures and soft tissue injuries with the assistance of an orthopaedic technician and dedicated fracture clinic nurses. The role could be combined with other work at DUDAC or with part-time work elsewhere in Dunedin.

The Fracture Clinic is located in central Dunedin and runs on 4 week days operating from within DUDAC which offers urgent primary health care for the Dunedin population, visitors to Dunedin and acts as an overflow service for local practices, open every day 8am – 10pm.

Applicants for this position should have a current NZ Practicing Certificate, Indemnity cover, NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. Appointment will be dependent on a satisfactory safety check as per the Children’s Act 2014.
