For older people and frail people, the long-term benefit of medicines reduces and the potential for harm from adverse effects increases. Mary Morrissey is manager of the small Family Health practice in New Plymouth and last year became chair of PMAANZ. The business studies-degree graduate also has a diploma in practice management, is the mother to two boys and a foster mother to multiple cats and kittens
The best thing about my practice is that we are a close-knit team and, being a small practice, we all know the patients quite well.
