For older people and frail people, the long-term benefit of medicines reduces and the potential for harm from adverse effects increases. When the benefit–risk balance changes in this way, medicine review and optimisation are important to simplify the therapeutic regimen, reduce inappropriate medicines and minimise risks. Omokoroa Medical Centre (OMC) needs a full time (8 sessions per week) GP to join our Practice.
Situated in the beautiful Bay of Plenty - OMC is a busy, Cornerstone accredited practice with 6 doctors servicing an enrolled population of approx. 6000 Patients. We also have a sister practice nearby in Bethlehem and so there are plenty of opportunities for Peer support.
The practice itself is less than 10 years old and also has a Pharmacy, Dentist and Physiotherapist based on the same site.
We do not open at weekends or evenings (preferring to opt in to the local After Hours service provision) and so your free time can truly be spent enjoying life in ‘The Bay’
