Northland meningococcal vaccinations
Cliff Taylor reported in “GPs called on to help with Northland meningococcal W vaccinations” that Northland DHB has called on general practice for help with the second phase of its meningococcal W vaccination programme. General practices are being asked to pre-call or recall children and offer them the publicly funded vaccine. Kerikeri GP Chris Reid told Cliff he wasn’t sure why GPs weren’t asked to take part in the first place: “It makes no sense to me”. Other readers agree.
